Pre-pandemic, DTLA had an iconic monthly DTLA Art Walk event that takes place on the second Thursday of each month. Over the years, DTLA Art Night has become an important part of the downtown Los Angeles community, drawing thousands of participants every month. The event unfortunately had to be put on hold due to the pandemic, and haven't returned post-pandemic.

Fast forward to May 2023, another organisation created their own version of this iconic event. Known as the DTLA Art Night, this new event takes place every first Thursday of each month. The concept is fairly similar to the original DTLA Art Walk, where you can expect to explore various galleries and restaurants, but given it only officially launched in May 2023, the DTLA Art Night is currently of a much smaller scale. Despite the smaller scale of the current event, if you happen to be in LA on the first Thursday of the month, you should most definitely check out the DTLA Art Night to get an immersive experience of the local arts scene!

What to Expect at the DTLA Art Night

DTLA Art Night brings together a gathering of art, style, and culture to Downtown's historic core. The event will feature fine arts and photography from artists across LA and across the world.

**Galleries and Shops: **During Art Night, over 25 participating galleries and independent boutique shops will often have extended opening hours. Take the time to gallery-hop and admire the beautiful collection of artwork that are on display at the galleries. Be sure to also visit the Emerging Artist Gallery and take the chance to discover works of emerging artists!

**Food: **Central to the DTLA Art Night is the block party. Streets will be closed for the block party, and you will be able to find numerous vendors and food trucks line the streets.
